In this first offering of the Nidrā Supplements, Taryn dialogues with Hypnotherapist, Natasha. Showing up with what we know best, our dialogue will explore the realms of yoga nidrā and hypnosis to uncover the synergy between these two powerful practices.

A COMPARATIVE CONVERSATION

Yoga nidrā takes us on a gentle journey through different layers of consciousness, leading us to the essence of our true selves. Hypnosis, on the other hand, aims to break down patterns and conditioning that often create barriers between us and who we really are.

We’ll explore:

  • Defining each modality with an eye for where they overlap

  • The differences between yoga nidrā and hypnosis

  • How to use this knowledge to enhance our practice and teachings

  • How hypnosis can help us navigate the different levels of consciousness and gain access to these patterns so we can begin to dissolve them

ABOUT NATASHA

With over 15 years experience as a yoga teacher, Natasha has a deep understanding of the critical role that mind-body connection plays in growth and healing.

Natasha's multifaceted approach incorporates her skills in solution-focused counseling, somatic coaching, and hypnotherapy to empower individuals to become more resilient and establish a stronger connection with themselves. She specializes in helping people break free from codependent behaviours, such as people-pleasing and perfectionism while continuing to foster commitment to values of kindness and connection.

Natasha previously worked as a doula and used hypnotherapy to support people during childbirth. Through this experience, she witnessed firsthand how powerful the mind can be. Now, she uses her hypnosis education to create individualized meditations that center each person's specific needs.
