“Taryn has a beautiful ability to take a complex concept and intertwine multiple pieces of the puzzle together to form a broader view at hand. She incorporates and pulls from anatomy, psychology, movement, and weaves together a wonderful program. Taryn creates an environment that is comfortable and empowering to her students.”

This Training

Yoga boasts a wealth of subtle practices, the kind that surprise one with their efficacy and simplicity. This training invites participants into a relationship with two of yoga’s subtle gems: Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra. Walk away with both the confidence and excitement to offer these practices to yourself, your family or your students. This program is about more than becoming a restorative and nidra teacher, this is about equipping you with the know-how to rest and relieve stress. Restorative and yoga nidra are effective tools for new parents, caregivers, seasoned students and instructors alike.

This program is one-of-a-kind and barrier-free: all bodies, all levels of experience (including none!) are welcomed.

Taryn offers a comprehensive introduction to restorative yoga and yoga nidra.

Divided into 4 days, The program will:

  • ground the modalities of restorative yoga and yoga nidra within the larger context of yoga philosophy

  • train you in teaching eleven restorative yoga postures, their modifications, and restorative yoga sequencing

  • teach the basics of anatomical movements to better enable you to see bodies and assess structure and postures to maximize rest

  • allow you to define your own teaching steps and to practice teaching poses in sequence

  • train you in teaching the art of yoga nidra, including leading in-person and online classes, best practices and script preparation

  • equip participants with the tools to walk away and teach a restorative class, and enhance their asana classes with restorative/nidra practices

  • empower participants with stress-reduction tools including simple breath work and gentle movement

Choose your adventure by joining Taryn for one or both modalities.

In addition to scheduled attendance, program requirements include:

“Taught my first restorative class tonight and I just wanted to say how useful your restorative training was! I was diving deep into my notes and I felt like I had you in my brain giving me tips as the class went along. In fact, I even had my manual tucked away at the front of the room, just in case. It gave me confidence knowing it was there!”
